Calc on the Fly Behavior

I have an issue when I create a form 2.0 or ad hoc grid with member formulas I can see that the member formulas are calculating the values and I can see the essbase formulas in the cells for the aggregations at the parents but I cannot see the member formulas formulas in the cells that have them. I think I have every thing configured correctly. Has anyone seen this before?
