Two existing company merging into new company with a new tax ID

Summary:

Hi all we have a business requirement where two existing company merging into new company with a new tax ID and we have to do essential setup to meet the below requirement.


1. To change company name and Tax id.

2. Inactive books of the Existing company are being replaced by new books (GL Book, FA Book, TAX Book, etc.) but the alternative company name, COA, Common Lookup code are still using the current. 

3. Transfer balance to new book.

Please help to know what all necessary setup and action we have to perform.
