Is it possible to update Default Buyer Using REST API and Oracle Visual Builder Excel Add-In

I have an Excel spreadsheet integrated with itemsV2, /fscmRestApi/resources/11.13.18.05/itemsV2/describe, to allow user(s) to quickly modify PIM attributes. I have successfully updated item attributes using this workbook. Now I am attempting to update the Default Buyer without success.

After downloading the necessary item numbers and supply the new Default Buyer Value, I receive Status - Update Failed - The value buyerLastName, buyerFirstName of the attribute DefaultBuyerValue isn't valid. (EGP-2776160) (EGP:::EGP_CMN_ATTR_INVALID_VALUE).

Using the Manage Items UI, I am able to change the item's default buyer.
