Cost adjustment for a revaluation

Summary:

One of our requirements is that the client revalues assets to a just value which is basically the revaluation of an asset's NBV.

When you revalue on the basis of NBV, the revaluation is amortized.

When I try to adjust the current cost (revalued cost) or depreciation reserve, I get the following error:

You can't perform this transaction.

The Cost and rules change transaction 300000178905013 failed for asset number 794601.

The number of records processed is 0.

The number of records that couldn't be processed is 1.

Is it intended behavior that you cannot adjust the cost or depreciation reserve of an  amortized revaluation?
