Need to understand implications of changing costing attributes for items having existing transaction

in Costing 4 comments

Summary: Need to understand implications of changing costing attributes for items having existing transactions.

Content:

  1. There some costed and non-costed item in the application for which we have transactions for last one year.
  2. Now, there is a need to make some of the costed items to non-costed and vice versa.
  3. For changing costed items to non-costed, we are planning to follow the below approach.
    1. For pending transactions, run all costing jobs
    2. Change all costing attributes (Costing Enabled, Inventory Asset Value and Include in Rollup) to "No"
  4. For changing non-costed items to costed, we are planning to change all costing attributes (Costing Enabled, Inventory Asset Value and Include in Rollup) to "Yes". Please note we following Standard Costing.
