Does OCI API Gateway support SOAP Backend based on Https endpoint URL
Summary:
We want to export Fusion Application SOAP web services using OCI API Gateway.
We have created an API Deployment route using XML request /response with fusion application HTTPS SOAP endpoint URL as backend. We can call the OCI API gateway rest api with oauth2 to successfully trigger fusion application SOAP endpoint URL and receive response.
We have followed this article.
OCI API gateway documents does not clearly mention that that we cannot use SOAP HTTPS endpoint url as backend. It only says that you can use HTTP or HTTPS url as backend.
We need oracle official position if HTTPS SOAP endpoint URL can be configured as HTTPS backend and Oracle will supports this setup. This will help us to implement this as an integration pattern to directly expose fusion SOAP services without the need to build an OIC integration services.
