Using attributes on shared entity hierarchy (not working)

Summary:

We recently added segmentation as an attribute to the base entities to easily get information by segment on the total of the primary (legal) hierarchy.
In the documentation I indeed read that this information is only available on the stored members, so only in the hierarchy based on the stored/primary members.

It would be very useful for our clients to be able to view this information on entity hierarchies based on shared members as you can then see the segment data per "Division / region".

Is that possible in any way? Of course I searched for it, but could not find any useful information.
