How do you configure cohort-based learning in Oracle Learning?

Interested in experiences from others who create cohort-based learning in Oracle - what configuration you use between specializations/cohorts/offerings.

We have been developing a series of programmes that involve events spread out over 2-3 weeks. These are cohort-based programmes, therefore when someone books onto a cohort, they will complete all of the events for that cohort. To achieve this, we have set up one course with the cohorts as offerings, and the individual events the activities within the offering. However, the SME is keen for people to be reminded of each upcoming event (Activity), to ensure they don't miss them. Currently the only alerts are triggered before the start of the offering, not before each Activity. Is there any
