When using dashes for number formatting (ie. no data, missing or zero)

is there a way to change it to a number formatting so that when exported to Excel the dashes don't interfere with formula calculations

I am trying to use Excel formulas, but after exporting, when there is a dash populated the formula gets corrupted. Is there a solution to this number presentation?
