How to submit a payment process request with selection criteria of creation date

We are exploring some idea on different ways to create payments, in that we would like to have a "selection criteria" that looks at when an invoice was CREATED, to select invoices to pay based on that invoice creation date, rather than the invoice date (and subsequently its due date).

I don't believe this is something that is available currently, but I am not entirely sure, hence my question here today.
