How to pass the query param to VB excel document

Summary:

Hi Experts

Our customer is asking to develop visual builder page where on click of a button it has to download the excel document (with VB plugin / add in). but main requirement here is passing the query parameter to the document

In below screenshots i have put the requirement, one screenshot shows the button on click of which it has to download the excel file (this is doable)

But in the next excel file screenshot the data is coming from table form layout, and ID for department must be passed to the file when the file gets download, customer won't be populating it manually. please help
