Can't use the output of a previous operation as input for the next operation in same Work Definition

It's a significant limitation that we can't use the output of a previous operation as input for the next operation within the same Work Definition. This constraint often comes up with our clients in process manufacturing. Is there a way to configure this to allow for intermediate items generated in one operation to be consumed in the subsequent operation within a single batch cycle, ultimately leading to the final output? Are there any workarounds or configurations that can address this issue?
