Blocking internal users from using a mailbox intended for external users.

Block incoming message to allow users to use the correct mailbox
Content (required):
We have created unique mailboxes for our internal contacts as well as mailboxes intended to be used exclusively in our customer portal environment. The reason is the CP mailboxes need to be supported by distinct SSO's in order to validate the customers. My question is, we have internal users that are using the customer portal mailboxes and the question came up if it is appropriate to block those incoming messages to allow the users to use the correct mailbox for internal use. we are getting errors currently as the users routinely go to an undefined queue.
