EPBCS Product Hierarchy not updating in EDM through subscription

Currently, within our Product view, our EPBCS Product Viewpoint subscribes to MDH Product (a universal app type that houses our Product hierarchy) but doesn't automatically update for some reason. We use a similar subscription for EPCM, also to our MDH viewpoint, and our product hierarchies update as expected in EPCM.

Is there anything specific to EPBCS that would prevent a hierarchy from updating through a subscription?
