How to use the keyboard to navigate inside an interactive element table of a VBCS application.

I have a table with a clickable icon (span), and I am trying to implement an onkeypress action chain by setting the tabindex value. However, I am unable to reach the icon by pressing the Tab key from the keyboard. I would like to have everything controlled or operable through the keyboard. I have attached the code snippet of the table.
Please guide me to create an interactive template for the table.
