How to reset / remove the selected value in select single component in edit page

Summary:

Hi Experts

I have a form to create a request in visual builder and one of the field is of type select single component.

At the time of create request user will select the value with select single component which gets stored in database.

If the user wants to revisit the existing request then there is a edit page functionality which loads the data back from database to the screen, now when the user wants to remove the data from select single component it is not possible as the variable is not accept blank value

Please help me, how to remove the value previously populated using select single component on edit page.
