Issue with Person External Identifier End Date

edited Nov 26, 2024 9:29AM in Human Capital Management

Summary:

Hi All,

We are facing an issue while trying to load Person External Identifier after Global transfer.

We could see that, when an employee is globally transferred, the external Identifier end date doesn't comes up automatically. And due to which, when we try to load the new External ID using HDL for that employee, system throws the below error.

Error message:

Identifier XXABC is used by PERSON_ABC, person number XXABC. The from date needs to be after 4712-12-31 00:00:00.0.

While hiring the employee, we put the End date of the external identifier as 31/12/4712 and after global transfer, we need to manually put the end date in External ID otherwise system throws the above error.

Howdy, Stranger!
