What are you doing to clean up duplicate candidate profiles?

My recruiting director has asked me to find a solution to our increasing amount of duplicate candidates.  I know that Recruiters can have tasks set up to run duplicate checks, but she is looking for a more automated solution?  Is there something in TEE that can automatically do this (I know there probably isn't but want to ask just to be sure)?  Has anyone found a solution using TCC that has helped with the automating of merging profiles?

Any insight into what can be done or what your best practice is?  Just as a side note, my organization handles mainly high volume jobs at retail locations, and most of our "Recruiters" are not actual Recruiters but Store Administrators.
