EDMCS - Validation error while adding new members

We are getting a validation error when we try to add a new member to a viewpoint in EDM

When we submit a request to add a node in a viewpoint, it gives a validation error that a node with the same name already exists in the same node type. But when we do a search in the viewpoint for the node, it says 0 results. So, even though the node does not exist in the viewpoint, we get a validation error and we are not able to submit the request. We have observed this issue in case a node was existing but was deleted either through interactive request or through import with replace option. We tried to do
