Use of Expression Builder for List Type Properties in EDMCS

Hi Team, In one of a requirement for a project we were trying to achieve a derived property using expression builder on a 'List Type' property but the system is not allowing to chose. Just wanted to inquire is there any work-around for this ! Or any additional configuration steps we might be not aware of!
