Sending meeting invite for enrollment

Hi All,
I feel like we are behind the times and just now moving to utilizing the self registration feature. I have that part figured out, but what I need help on is figuring out how to send the meeting invite. Can someone walk me through the steps and possibly provide the code that I may need to use? I think I would use the User Approval message and attach a trigger to send the meeting invite. I just can't figure out the actual invite it self.
