I am getting this question very frequently. 

Many customers review the REST documentation provided on docs.oracle.com and log SRs asking for clarifications on why certain attributes are throwing errors indicating they are not for instance, POSTable.

Recently, there was one customer that worked under the assumption that the documentation provided does not exclude any attributes therein from specific REST actions.

Response:

The documentation that customers are referring to is in the process of being modified to see if better clarity can be provided on what REST actions are/are not supported on the attributes listed in the documentation.
