We have a scenario where in the item structure has a few components (obsolete items) with negative quantity with supply type of backflush (of course, there are replacement components(New items) with positive qty added) . The idea behind this is that as a part of standard job execution, the negative components (these are obsolete components)  get returned back to inventory (Material Negative issue). This was done in EBS to avoid having to create New BOM/structure and work definitions/Routings and also because of resource constraints in the engineering department. BTW, these are high tech equipment (CTO items) and  BOMs are very large. The customer would like to
