What is Rate limit for REST API

Summary of the question:

A rate limit is the maximum number of calls we want to allow in a particular time interval. It enables us to manage the network traffic for our APIs and for specific operations within our APIs.

Does fusion apps have a rate limit for REST APIs? If yes, can we change it ourselves or we need to raise SR to change it? If no, is it included in future plans? and is there any workaround.

Please let us know everything about RATE Limit in FA web-services.
