Installing And Running Oracle Ksplice in Oracle Cloud

edited Jun 30, 2022 1:55PM in Linux

The uptrack tools necessary to run Oracle Ksplice in Oracle Cloud are included in the base image of Oracle Linux instances. These tools have names that start with 'uptrack', such as uptrack-upgrade or uptrack-uname. The ksplice installer should then be downloaded and run to configure the uptrack configuration file, /etc/uptrack/uptrack.conf, to use an access key that enables any cloud instance to talk to Oracle's Ksplice service without registration.

To set up Oracle's Ksplice on an instance, complete the following steps:

1) Login as the root user on the instance that needs to have Ksplice configured:

[opc@localhost ~]$ sudo bash
