Customise standard report - new layout

So I have a standard report which only runs inside Fusion ERP due to security etc. So I run it using schedule reports, but ideally I want to use the generated XML output as if it had been generated by 'save sample data' in data model - so I can use all of the features of BI Publisher in Oracle Fusion. Is there anyway to do that, to import the saved data into fusion catalogue, as I do not want to write a lengthy rdf, the wizard functionality to populate a straight table is all I need.
