Need to add ASTERISK to contact role type in communication.

we identified that if “role type” was not selected during contact creation, the contact will not receive invoicing.

Is there a way to either include an ASTERISK before the “Role Type” label, indiating that it is mandatory?
Otherwise, is there a way to default the “Contact” option in that field, so the business does not have to manually select it?
