Can we create custom fields in Idea object with Context type?

Hi Team,

As a business requirement we will be using PLM to create the Ideas. There will be ~ 500 custom fields which we need to create on Idea Object to store product specifications. Specifications are segregated in around 20 sections each having around 20 attributes. User will select 1 section from LOV, and populated specifications pertaining to that 1 section in the Idea.


1. Right now I can see in the Idea tables, there is provision only for 100 external attributes (of type character). We would like to get it increased to ~500.

2. Also, can we create context specific custom fields?

3. Also, how will it impact the performance of the idea page? We will be segregating these 500 fields under different sections each would be having around 20 fields.
