Validity Period

I would appreciate some clarity on the Validity Period, as I have read through the Oracle Learning Cloud books/resources and there does not seem like a definitive answer.

Example 1: Monthly Safety Course

Validity Period Starts: After Completion Validity Period

Expiration: Expires on a date (ends at the same time for all the learners)

Renewal Options: Start Next Renewal Before Validity of Prior Assignment Ends - This appears to be the only one we can use to ensure all learners are on the same renewal cycle. After completion or after the due date could potentially change based upon the person. But please advise!
