Web clock button with dependent field and out/in clock event - only apply to "In" punch

We have web clock configured for a client that is a 3rd party service provider - they have employees who can work for multiple clients throughout the day. To track the multiple clients there is a dependent field created on the web clock button with custom "cost centers/site" codes the EE can choose at clock in. But rather than clock out and back in (which is cumbersome and not a great experience), we were trying to create a "Change"/Transfer cost center/site button - One button with an out/in clock type and the pop up with the dependent field for the
