Unable to delete/end date a Contact(Spouse/Child) after enrolling them as Dependents/Beneficiaries i

Lets say an employee has added their Spouse/Child in their contacts and then selected them as Beneficaries/Dependents in their Benefit Program Election in their previous life event.

Now the Employees needs to end their relationship ,so he tries to Delete from his ESS or the Benefit admin tries to end/delete the contact from their Personal information.

We are getting an error

You can't delete the contact because the person is designated as a benefit dependent or beneficiary, or an attempt was made to process the benefit designation. (PER-1531462)

 

or

Remove the contact as a dependent or a beneficiary from all benefit plans before end dating. Contact your benefits administrator for assistance. (PER-1531463)
