Reporting on Answers with zero hits

Summary:

I have a requirement to report on the number of hits per answer across a specified time period (report has a cross tab of row fields = answers.a_id, column fields = ans_stats.stat_date and output fields = sum of ans_stat.hits. I also have a date_group variable set to month/year and the reporting range is a 3 month period.

Content (required):

The issue I have is that if a particular answer has zero hits across the 3 month period, it is not displayed in the report. If it has any hits at all in the reporting period, the row (as expected) is displayed.
