Email notification for each Checklist Step of the Journey

Is there a way to send email notification after each step is initiated in the Journey? I know that we can use notifications for each task, but the client requires an overall email notification of the checklist step and not for every single task. By using combine notification option we only receive a general email notification that the Journey has been allocated, so it does not work as we would prefer.

For example, receive an email notification for the first checklist step, which is Pre-Onboarding. Later on, when the second checklist step is initiated, receive an email notification that the First Day of Activities has been started, etc.
