Goal

This document will explain how to access the Boot menu (grub menu) of an Oracle Linux 8 from an OCI image using the serial console.

Unlike previous versions of Oracle Linux OCI images, Oracle Linux 8 image doesn't have the countdown (timeout) to access the Grub menu.


Solution

The proposed procedure works with both serial console or VNC console.
