Return material has been utilized

After inspection, we returned an item. Even though the invoice hasn't been made yet, we still intended to return the materials, but our user used by rework. We now considered switching the item from reject to accept. However, no material remains since we have already used it up in manufacture. Can we resolve this without creating additional miscellaneous receipts and issues?
