Invoice Workflow Spreadsheet conflicts with Windows ASR Block Win32 API calls from Office macros

Hello CCC community,

To maintain our Invoice Workflow Approval rules, we make use of the "Manage Workflow Rules in Spreadsheet" option in Oracle Fusion. This Excel Spreadsheet contains several Excel Macro functions provided by Oracle.

Our IT department has noted that Oracle has implemented direct Windows API calls in this Excel Marco, and our Windows Security settings do not allow these direct Windows API calls. As part of this security settings called 'Attack Surface Reduction rules' (ASR) in Windows we do block macros which call direct Win32 API functions.
See:

Since our company policy will not allow to use Excel macros which perform direct Win32 API calls, we do have a security issue in using the macros provided by Oracle.

Howdy, Stranger!
