How to create a Custom Event Trigger for APP Channel List

I'm trying to create a program on Responsys using a custom event as a trigger. However, it seems that it's only possible to create custom events based on the Profile List, not on the APP Channel List.

Since not all users in the APP Channel List are associated with a RIID Profile, I need to set up a trigger based on the APP Channel List. Is there any way to achieve this?
