Introduction
Careful readers of the post Working with Server Side Extensions noted that the Oracle Commerce server-side extension custom apps would only accept requests and responses in JSON. Many of our community of developers found that limitation unduly restrictive. As many of you have noted there are a number of scenarios where accepting HTML forms or XML content would be valuable, such as supporting 3-D Secure transactions: 3-D Secure is an XML-based protocol designed to be an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions designed to reduce fraud and false declines.
