How to create a button to initiate a Smart Action on the SR Edit page

Smart actions can simplify navigation, making your user interface neat. But, users might click buttons without thinking about typing an action.

This post will show you how to make a custom button on the SR Edit Page that fires a smart action event. This could make it easier for customers, as they can click a button to resolve an SR, instead of typing the action (not limited to the resolve action).

Steps

• First, figure out which smartAction you want to call from a button.
  • After deciding, go to App Composer, Smart Action and copy the actionID. You'll need this for the extension.
