Summary: When employee is already in Employee + Family option and adds a new child, the enrollment gets suspended with no interim

Content (required):

The interim rule at PTIP is 'Current - same; new - default' and Unsuspend enrollment rule is 'Use existing enrollment start date'. At PTIP dependent designation level, ' Dependent Requires Certification' is set to required for new entry of new dependent..

This works when the employee elects a different option. However, when the employee is already enrolled in an option and just adding a new dependent under coverage , the enrolled itself is getting suspended without interim. So there will be a discontinuation of enrollment until the document is verified.
