How to prevent digital signature errors due to "phantom spaces" in user names?

edited Sep 4, 2023 7:16PM in Journeys 1 comment

Summary: A number of our new hires are getting errors when they attempt to enter their digital signatures for Onboarding Journeys tasks. The problem is that there is a space at the end of their first or last names. When they enter the extra space in their esignatures (or if HR removes the offending spaces in their Fusion accounts), they are able to sign.

Content (required): Although we know what the problem is and how to fix it, this is a very poor user experience. Wondering if other customers are encountering this problem with Recruit / Onboarding Journeys and if so, what you are doing to improve the new hire experience? We checked to see if we can add instructions on the screen where candidates enter their name and other details; there does not seem to be an obvious solution. Is there a way for Oracle to validate names and auto-remove leading or ending spaces? Any other potential solution?

Howdy, Stranger!
